I am going to offer a summary of soul loss in the simplest way that I can.
At some point in our lives, we have all felt a little… embarrassed? Maybe we have experienced ‘putting our foot in it’. Our own actions can sometimes cause us to reflect with shame. Perhaps there has been a time when you just wanted ‘the ground to swallow you’.
Well, it did. It swallowed the part of you that you pushed away. That you hid. The piece of yourself which shone too brightly. That caused others to stare. You dimmed it down by taking part of it away.
Soul Retrieval Energy Healing work
When we go through traumatic experiences, we can experience soul loss. If we are frozen in fear, a piece of us can detach, or slip away. It does not want to be in the situation it is in.
Returning Home
There are many reasons, and many ways we can experience the fragmentation of a soul part. From my experience, I understand that tears in the Energy field can also, deeply impact a person. Continued study efforts show that soul loss has a profound effect. They are not the same in terms of experience. Yet, if both are experienced, (and I am still working on finding this out). It is possible the person starts to ‘attract’ energy, which is personally intrusive, via the lost soul part. *
Shamanic work helps to return the soul parts to the person. It supports them as they become the ‘whole’ self. But, we must be aware of something important. The returning soul parts are coming back from a time or place where the trauma was experienced. When the embarrassing situation took place. We return our soul parts to the self we are now. The version of self we have become. For it is this self, who is ready to offer a home to the soul part. It is this self, who does not ask the ground to swallow them whole. Or hides away trying not to shine too brightly.
This self, is ready to give a home to the whole self.
To do the work to integrate the soul part and welcome them home.
To let them know they are safe to stay.
They are accepted.
How Does Soul Loss Impact?
This varies for each individual. For some Shamanic practitioners Soul loss can be evident from a persons general behaviour. In my own experience, the voice can be indicative of the time and/or age. The voice signals when the person experienced soul loss. It has been my experience as a practitioner to explore vocal tone, pitch, pace as part of soul loss work. And, also on occasion, to note where another energy may have attached itself, in the place, where the part fragmented.
For example; one client had experienced severe soul loss as a child due to be raised in an abusive environment. The first part of the work was removing the entity which had attached itself to the client. When the client experienced the soul loss as a child they were not able to speak. The attachment was on their throat. The client was having medical treatment for a continuous cough at the time.
In the same way we recognise the nervous system when in survival mode. The individual actions, behaviours and responses can be indicative of a fragmented soul part. In this case, the language the client used. The control they had over their own voice. The different voices they spoke in. Whilst this client had experienced soul loss due to the deep trauma suffered. They had been hosting an entity which lived in the ‘hole’ that had been left.
In more severe cases individuals can experience physical conditions, illness and/or symptoms. Depending how the soul loss has occurred can affect the retrieval work.
*”Many healthy people may not be aware of asymptomatic week or abnormal energy field findings. In some instances, these could be precursors of dangerous conditions..”

As a practitioner, I believe there is a connection between the energy field tears and the entities we can attract. This occurs when we have experienced soul loss.
Why does soul loss happen?
It is important to know that soul loss can happen for a range of reasons. Whilst some experience soul loss due to day-to-day experiences. Some, experience soul loss due to extreme traumatic experiences. It is vital to note that the return of the soul part is the work. This is where the energy work will differ from person to person. It is dependent on the individual circumstance. The soul part being returned. More importantly, the client’s willingness to welcome the soul part home.
My experience of soul retrieval work has been extremely empowering for clients. Although the process of integration and acceptance of returning soul parts, can be the most challenging part of the processes.
This work can also take time. We lose many parts of the self over many experiences in our lives. We must take time to integrate, to make room to acknowledge. To hold space to accept. This is not something we can do overnight. We also must remember that the integration is happening whilst we are trying to live our day to day lives.
To continue to function as the person we have become, whilst integrating the person we welcome home.
